Last night was the Channel O Music Video Awards 2012.
Channel O is Africa's most watched music channel.
The show brought together the best of Africa's contemporary artists under one roof for a spectacular evening, watched by millions in 53 countries across the continent.
It was hosted in Soweto, South Africa.
This years' show was better than last year's, and even last year's show was good. This year though the production was better, the stage was better, and the performances were over-the-top.
While last year's show was dominated by Nigeria, this year the South African artists also put on a great show.
The best South African performances of the evening came from Dr. Malinga, DJ Zinhle and Busisiwe, with Oskido receiving the Special Recognition Award.
Other performance highlights include;
-Mo'Cheddah
-Ice Prince and Khuli Chana
-Manifest and Zeus
Ice Prince was perhaps one of the stars of the show by presenting, performing and winning an award.
One of the most anticipated performances of the show was from Nigeria's D'Banj who did not disappoint.
He was also the biggest winner of the evening, walking away with Most Gifted Male Video of the Year, and the biggest award of the evening Most Gifted Video of the Year.
Most Gifted Female Video of the Year went to Zahara for her break-out hit Loliwe.
Ice Prince's female co-presenter was South Africa's Queen B; Bonang Matheba who did a great job and looked fabulous in her three outfit changes.
Another of the best dressed women yesterday was Dineo Moeketsi, Channel O's O Access Host.
It is so encouraging to see so many talented, young, African artists come together to celebrate African music.
We can't wait for next year's show!
