For our launch broadcast, we at Melodi wanted to introduce our global visitors/listeners to new genres and sounds in music that aren't available in your parts of the world.
The beauty of music and entertainment is that it defies language and cultural barriers.

Dynasty (this one is for Xavier!) - An up-and-coming artist from New York City who is making waves in the Reggaeton genre with collabo's with artists like Don Omar.
TKZee - This three-some represent some of the biggest players in the South African music industry - particularly in the uniquely South African urban dance genre of Kwaito.
Oskido - South Africa is the biggest consumer of House music in the world and its' DJ's are in demand globally for their unique mix of African beats with electronic music. Oskido is one of the godfathers of this HUGE industry.
Collaboration between HHP, Teargas and Liquideep - Hip-Hop is a genre that is growing incredibly fast on the African continent in terms of sales and quality and HHP and Teargas are some of the leading hip-hop artists right now. Duo Liquideep is all over the place with their unique mix of soulful RnB and House music.
Lira - This artist is a multi-award winner and is arguably South Africa's queen of soul right now.
Aventura - These guys need no introduction to our American and latin listeners. But they are a new sound for South Africa and Africa.
