People who are fans of reality shows like 'America's Next Top Model' are always left wondering what happens to the contestants and winners once filming is done. They seem to vanish into obscurity once their 15 minutes of fame is over.
One such contestant (and winner) from Heidi Klum's 'Project Runway' has managed to turn his 15 minutes of fame into a successful fashion house and shows his lines regularly at New York Fashion Week. Remember Christian Siriano? He is widely credited with making the then relatively unknown expression 'hot mess' into a pop-culture saying.
As a successful designer he interned with the late, great Alexander McQueen. You can clearly see McQueen-style fantasy outfits in Siriano's designs, right down to the weird looking shoes.
Though still relatively unknown despite his reality-show fame, Siriano is a designer to watch out for. He might just be the next great thing to come out of design circles.
