Two Greats in S.A.

Lauryn Hill performed at the Cape Town Jazz Festival last week. She was actually the event's second choice, after Jill Scott. She was called in after Scott had to cancel her appearance because she was offered a role in a film.
Those who saw Hill's performance at the festival don't have anything nice to say about her performance.
This is very sad for music and millions of Hill's fans around the world. She made it hip to be a black woman with opinions, even with the 'establishment' when she won several Grammy's for her solo album 'The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill'. She is a brilliant singer and an extremely talented songwriter. We hope she overcomes whatever she is going through because she still has a lot to give us.

Usher also recently performed in South Africa at a one-night only concert in Soweto, Johannesburg. His show was packed and he received rave reviews for his performance. While he was here he collected a decent amount of money from a South African businessman for his foundation.
Hopefully Usher will be back to give performances in cities all over the country so others can enjoy his vibrant and passionate performance.
